How to add $HOPIUM tokens on Metamask for BNB Chain

We know many of our community members are new to blockchain, and we know some of you are pondering and looking for a guide on how to store $HOPIUM tokens on Metamask.

Fret not! Because this article will tackle how to store $HOPIUM tokens on Metamask to secure your investment properly. It may sound intimidating at first for those people who are new to blockchain, but believe it or not, storing $HOPIUM tokens to Metamask is not daunting a task as it seems.

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to store your $HOPIUM tokens in your Metamask wallet.

Step 1: Installing and setting up your Metamask wallet

The Metamask wallet can be downloaded on Firefox, Google Chrome, or Android and IOS for mobile users. For this tutorial, we will be using the Google Chrome version, although the instructions between versions are pretty much the same for every platform.

• First, you’ll have to proceed through to the Metamask download page. From there, you can select which platform you wish to use, and follow the guidelines to install it on your device.
• Next, proceed with the setup stated by the app and click create a wallet.
• Remember to write down your backup seed phrase and store it somewhere secret (ideally not on a device that is connected to the internet). Be reminded that without the “seed phrase” your funds cannot be recovered in case your device is lost or damaged.
• Confirm that you have written down the seed phrase.

And that figures step 1, you should now be able to see your Metamask wallet, and ready to receive and send funds.

Step 2: Configuring the wallet

Now you might notice that we are still on the Ethereum wallet network. Please be reminded that this will not work with BNB Smart Chain or BSC decentralized applications (DApps), and you may lose your funds by sending your BSC assets to the wrong network.

What we should do is set the configurations, and change the settings in the BSC network. As we should want to access the settings to direct the wallet to BNB Smart Chain nodes.

Select settings from the menu

Then on the settings page, locate the networks option.

On the top-right corner, click add network and manually add the mainnet BNB Smart Chain configurations.

Below are the parameters we will use for mainnet BNB Smart Chain:

Network Name: Smart Chain

New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

ChainID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Once you have saved the network, the network will automatically be set to the one you entered, and the units will be present in BNB instead of ETH.

Step 3: Adding $HOPIUM to Metamask
Now that we have a Metamask wallet and have configured it to the BNB Smart Chain correct settings. We should now configure the parameters of the $HOPIUM token under the + ADD TOKENS option.

Click + ADD TOKENS to proceed

Below are the parameters we will use for adding $HOPIUM token to Metamask:
